Like the engine room of a formidable ship, the Wine Shed is our beating heart where plans are drawn, magic is made and successes are celebrated. Integral to winemaking operations at our Akaroa estate, the Wine Shed will be open to viewing upon completion. We’re only too happy to share.

With the constant distraction of one of the most beautiful views on Earth it might be amazing if any wine gets made at all.

It’s our good fortune to be crafting in one of the most beautiful places on Earth – on the inner slopes of an actual caldera, Bank’s Peninsula’s ancient volcanic landform from which we take our name. Our fertile soils and all-day sunlight provide the perfect conditions for our mature vines and premium wines.

At the top of the estate, the Wine Shed is a hallowed place of creativity, strategy and process. The high quality of the facilities will be matched only by the pristine apparatus of our people’s collective experience and expertise.

The Wine Shed is also a beautifully designed space, with commanding views of the vineyard, estate, hills and the yacht-dotted bays opposite. We look forward to welcoming visitors, guests and the wine-curious in the near future.
